this might not seem as urgent or improtant to anyone but if someone has actual advice, please help. and please, don't be a jackass. and i know she might not want help, but it is my nature.

firstly, in my group of friends, i am considered the mom. i like to take care of everyone and make sure nothing is wrong to the best of my ability. i don't even take it to an extreme anymore, as in doing things that are what i feel is right as opposed to what they feel is right. i only go to the extreme when it is needed. and i am too proud to ask for help, so here it goes.

my friend Kari has been dating this asshole Mark for the past 1.5-2 years. No one likes him. Myself and Clare (her BFFs), her parents, her sister, no one. He has cheated on her too many times to cout on two hands. He won't let her do anything. She will go out with us for, say, 2 hours. He will call her 12-20 times within that hour, plus text her every 5 minutes. Everyone feels he is abusive both mentally and physically.

During football season, he dumped her every friday. EVERY friday for the entire season and she kept taking him back. I know she is stupid, that isn't the particular issue here. The issue is that ever since graduation, June 4th, she has been living with him. Her parents can't contact her. I can't contact her. She won't reply to texts she has read. This isn't the Kari i know. So what do i do?

do i find her and make sure she is fine? do i just call her every 10 minutes until i get an answer? do i do nothing?

don't tell me she doesn't want help. she might not but this is an extreme. i am almost in tears because he is no good. i am 99.999(repeating)% sure he beats her. he has probably cheated on her in the time they have been living together, and now, she might not even go to college, something she has wanted to do since forever.

help me.... please?

call her repeatedly. call him repeatedly & demand to talk to her.
if it keeps up, talk to her parents about a missing persons report.

Well if her parents don't approve of her BF, they must not approve of the fact that she's living with him...if she didnt get their permission, she could be considered a runaway. But if you didn't want to resort to anything that drastic, idk just keep blowin up her phone. Tell her what you just told us, and let her know how strongly feel about it and tell her to ditch the douchebag fuckernut.

Call her, and call her, and call her more until either he or she answers. Like Nicole said, tell her just what you've told us.

If it were me, I'd find out where that fucker lived and beat down his door. Buuuut I'm a little drastic.

Has anyone tried getting a hold of his parents, or are they just as bad as he is?

i talked to her mom today.
when she comes home to plan her grad party, her mom is supposed to call either me or clare to tell us that she is there so we can confront her.

and she has heard most of the concerns, she just doesn't care.

and the parents are worse then him.

Well how did you find out she was living with him? There has to be a tiny bit of communication...

Personally If I was in your shoes i'd be REALLY concerned about her safety and probably call the cops if I couldn't get ahold of her. Fuck her parents you're the mom right? If they can't do it then you should. Best friends are for life you have to be their for her ... Hopefully she wont reject you, Just be sincere when you talk to her and tell her your not angry with her just really really scared for her.

i found out she was staying at her boyfriends when i went to her house to give her an invite to my grad party and her mom told me.

i did get in contact with her.
we are supposed to meet up a the park complex near both of our houses.
i told her i was really really worried about her and needed to hang out with her to put my mind to rest.

The problem is that she really probably won't do anything about it, no matter what. If she is too dumb to do anything the first time, most likely she won't leave him until he leaves her, and even then she will still go back to him over and over.

yeah, kind of like me. bahhaaa.
